Hiraeth

Hiraeth is a special word in Gaelic, it is a kind of longing, nostalgia for a home or situation that already was or has never been. I think it is a precious meaning that together with this feeling of purity and goodness of the lamb give these threads a unique personality.

The composition of these threads is 100% Ryeland sheep’s lamb.

This breed is of dual purpose, and owes its name to the fact that it was mavoritaryly fed on rye by the monks and friars who raised them, being a symbol of “prosperity” and “wealth” for the clergyman in Herefordshire more than 7 centuries ago.
