OUR FARM

Bienvenido Welcome Bienvenue Benvingut Benvido Ongi etorri

At El Camino we seek the greatest well-being in our herds and, like American ranchers, we abide by the 4H philosophy (Head, Heart, Hands, and Health) which we can proudly say that it is reflected in our threads, giving rise to a quality product, unique, rustic, slow made and of course 100% natural.

Do not hesitate to contact us and we hope that one of our balls ends up being part of your textile projects.

The members of "El Camino"

Alpaca
They are not Llamas. They are part of the Camelidae family along with llamas, vicuñas, guanacos, dromedaries and camels.
Alpaca
There are only two races: Huacaya and Suri.
95% of the world population are Huacayas (their fiber is spongy), the remaining 5% are Suris (their fiber is corkscrew-shaped).
We have both races.
Alpaca
Luxurious Fiber
The fiber ranges between 18-32 microns, the most coveted being the first shearing (Baby Alpaca)

Goat
The Mohair (fiber obtained from this goat) has a great quality, and that is that it absorbs almost no smell.
Goat
Very ancient breed
Finds of clothing made with Mohair have been made dating back to the 13th century b.C
Goat
Luxurious Fiber
On average they are between 24-25 microns, although like alpaca the first shearing is the most valuable (Kid Mohair)

Not only alpacas and angora goats are part of our stable.

We have ducks and laying hens, which provide us with free-range eggs all year round.

We are also one of the few farms specialized in raising Hereford cattle, unique due to the quality of their meat, their hardiness and their maternity.

Year after year the heads are adding, and new projects, new challenges and new inhabitants are arriving.

El Camino is growing

El Camino, Hereford

The Hereford breed, unlike other breeds, is a type of cattle that we call “forage cattle”, but… what does it mean?
